MacOSX programmer wanted!
Saturday, 19 December 2009 23:52
We're totally (code-wise) ready to port VSXu to the Mac, but due to time constraints and the cost of decent Mac hardware VSXu on Mac is not done yet.
If you are interrested in helping out this way, please contact us,

VSXu 0.1.18 released for Windows & GNU/Linux!
Sunday, 30 August 2009 00:21
Welcome to a new edition of vsxu.com and a new major release of VSXu!
VSXu Player is now more stable than ever, and prettier than ever since it uses Anti-Aliasing on cards that support it.
VSXu Artiste has new features that enable character animation and better animation in general, a new performance mode, a new and improved sound analysis and many more things. Check out the changelog!
For the first time, VSXu is now officially supported on 2 platforms: Windows and GNU/Linux.
Here, a quick look at the new performance mode as well as a new simple mesh normal distort module (if you view it on vimeo, the video is 720p HD resolution):

VSXu 0.1.17 for Windows released, updated info on GNU/Linux version
Monday, 08 December 2008 00:00
Finally a new release of VSXu for windows! The GNU/Linux version is being held back due to the chaos that is sound API:s which broke sound input needed for visualizations when I upgraded the developer machine. Instead work has begun to implement vsxu as a libvisual plugin which should make it possible to use in players like Amarok, Audacious etc. Stay tuned!
VSXu 0.1.17 GPL source released under the Gnu General Public License (GPL)
Thursday, 18 September 2008 00:00
I've decided to release the source (GPL licensed) for VSXu. (go to download page) Version 0.1.17 still is not finished but maybe you can help? The aim here is to make it maintainable by the community and to release it on major Linux distributions without problems. Artiste works great on both windows and linux at the moment with some development been done on the mac, if you can help out with that would be absolutely great. Also the player on linux needs work. Hang out in the forums if you have modifications to submit to the main code branch!
VSXu 0.1.16 beta released
Tuesday, 31 July 2007 00:00
Lots of new features & bug fixes - one step closer to a final version. Check out the screenshots, many updates there as well.
Check it out! Artiste should be a little bit easier to learn now also. Plus transitions added in the player and many more things.
If you're a VJ you're going to love the dual monitor performance mode, for optimum performance can use 2 PCIe cards (without SLI enabled) to work even better! Test the dual-monitor mode and see what you think for the next version.
